BioHi, I'm Mia, and uh... I never know what to put here. "My life in 30 seconds." Ooh I have an idea: My life in 30 facts!!
1. I'm very very scared of downward escalators. I'm OK with them when they're going up, but going down terrifies me to death.
2. I worry. A lot. About anything and everything, and I often doubt whether anyone at all likes me.
3. I love to sing. Singing makes me very very happy, and I apparently sing to myself without noticing a lot of the time. But singing is one of my passions.
4. I read a lot. I re-read my books a lot. I love to read, I think it's escapism (at least partially.) Favourite books include the twilight series, Fire and Hemlock by Diana Wynne Jones and Child X by Lee Weatherly.
6. I write, but I don't think I'm very good at it. I write poetry and short stories (I can't sustain a plot for long periods of time.)
7. Depending on how people know me, they might call me Mia, Janice, Frog, Fridge, Yoyo, Lily, Bluebell or any combination of the above. People often don't believe me about my many nicknames, but I promise you it's true :)
8. I was born in a car, and yes it was moving, yes my parents were on the way to the hospital and no, they didn't stop to call an ambulance, they just kept going.
9. I'm a Christian, and that's a big part of who I am, but I don't go round trying to convert people, I just say what I believe if asked. This isn't going to be a specifically Christian blog!
10. My older sister is one of my best friends, and she can be very silly and blonde (but I love her all the same.)
11. I'm not really a girly girl, nor am I a tomboy, I'm somewhere in the middle. I hardly ever wear makeup, can't remember the last time I straightened my hair, but neither do I love to play football or anything.
12. In fact, I'm really not that sporty at all. My sport is cupstacking, and my best time for the cycle stack is 13.94 seconds. And yes, I understand stacking cups is strange. I don't care.
13. I mess with certain stuff, like make patterns out of sweets on my bed and stuff. I don't like things to be random like that, I always put them into an order.
14. I seem to give the illusion of being organised when actually I think I'm the exact opposite, despite my love of putting things into order (My bookshelf is like a library because it's alphabetical).
15. I am slightly obsessed with a certain donkey called Eeyore, because he is my friend. I like saying things are my friends, like inanimate objects. My laptop is my friend.
16. I name inanimate objects, I think it's inherited from my sister. My laptop is called Adela, my ipod is called Betty and my phone is called Clarissa. Her laptop is called Toshi, her wheelchair was called Flora and her walking stick was called Ferdinand (I think... unless that was her phone).
17. Those of you wondering why my sister was in a wheelchair and had a walking stick - she had ME for two years, and at her worst could not really walk. But that's her story, not mine.
18. I play the piano and the flute, but I haven't done so for quite a while and I think I'm losing my touch.
19. I used to wear two watches, one on each wrist, just to see if anyone would notice (My friend made me take one off because it was freaking her out - I don't know why!)
20. I have a fear of flying objects, because I was once hit on the nose by a flying hockey puck and my nose bled for like an hour and a half.
21. I like sewing, knitting, latch-hook and scoubidous, but I'm not really that creative. I think my brain just likes the repetition.
22. I am from the UK, and I do NOT take A-Levels! I take the International Baccalaureate, which is very different, but I love it!
23. I am 17 years old (well not quite but it's in like a week.)
24. I do NOT have a television in my house! Question: how do I live? Answer: Well it's all a question of respiration... :P
25. I believe that there is no such thing as coincidence - if you trust your instincts everything will turn out all right for you.
26. The walls of my room are covered with random stuff like calendar pictures from when I was little, twilight and harry potter posters :P And Silent Kimbly puns which I find amusing. (www.silentkimbly.com)
27. My sister describes me as her "technowhiz", but actually I'm not that proficient, just more proficient than most girls seem to be.
28. I started this journal because I thought it would be a good exercise for me and I will feel more motivated if I believe people are reading it (even though they probably aren't.)
29. My favourite subjects are English and History, and I seem to be becoming more and more interested in politics (although I didn't realise it, it was quite gradual.
30. I'm very off the wall, but I don't show it very much as I am also very shy.
